Single MOMM was founded in 2008 to help single moms go from surviving to thriving. As a former single mom herself, founder Jennifer Finnegan-Pool knows what survival feels like;
“I went from being a stay at home mom, to working two jobs, raising two young children alone, juggling child care, learning how to maneuver through the welfare system, going back to school and trying to recover from the impact this new lifestyle had on my relationships, self-perception, and health.”
Many single moms experience the same obstacles as Jennifer did, and in the process feel like they are drowning. Out of Jennifer’s own brokenness has come a relational ministry that helps single mom families in the Grand Traverse region, build the community, support and resources which will help them too, go from surviving to thriving.
